I will be glad when WoW ends and Blizzard moves on to make another game.

I don't blame you. The first time around, it was pretty cool...but doing it for a second time was pretty dumb. I ended up using AV for most of my levels, and used Icecrown for 78-80. WoW is pretty different than from when you played it fairly intensively, I guess, yeah?

When me and Brandon first played it was of course 40 man raids and no arena / resilence. Which made pvp REALLY unbalanced, but at the same time, I could 2 shot a shaman and then he could turn around and one-shot me with windfury. (Especially when they had the Hand of Ragnaros) But a lot of classes had the ability to 1, 2, or 3 shot people (everyone but healers) But there wasn't much variation in class play as there is today. Paladins were either healadin's or useless, shadow priests were only useful in pvp, and a feral druid trying to pve was lulz. So I am glad blizzard made pvp last longer than 2 button pushes and gave plenty of variation in playing your class.

40 man raids were fun, downing all the old bosses from Rag to Kel'Thuzad was a blast to do. But at the same time, if you didnt have your full 40, it made Naxx and AQ 40 a bitch. (MC and BWL could be easily done by under 30 ppl in tier 2.5 / 3 gear) But at the same time, you could have 50 people log on, but only have 5 healers...that would never work. Then when you have enough healers, but now have 55 people online....15 people have to sit out, and they are not going to be happy. So bringing the raid number down to 10 and 25 was probably the best option really.

My biggest issue with playing really is because I've forgotten how to play my warrior. Oh and I got hacked....lulz

The 10- and 25-man Raids are really nice for PuGging, but if you have a particularly small guild, it's still a pain in the ass - you'll have like 14 DPS online, and 1 healer - obviously, that's too many for 10-mans, and you'd have to PuG way too many people for a 25-man. It makes it a bit awkward, as a lot of people are sort of forced to go off and do their own thing, while the "core" group continues gearing up. Given that Twisting Nether is particularly fail for being able to PuG things, however, the first point is sort of moot.

If it helps any, I still have no idea how a warrior even works. Other than knowing that they're the only tanking class where I have to wait a few seconds before DPSing, because it's too easy to pull aggro off of them otherwise.

It's interesting that trying to pve as a feral druid was "lulz" as they're arguably one of the best, if not the best melee DPS right now - and as bears are able to reach upwards of 60k HP now, they're not very bad at tanking, either.

tl;dr version: WHY DID YOU GET ME TO MAKE A CHARACTER ON TWISTING NETHER IT IS LITERALLY KNOWN AS "WHAT THE f*ck IS PROGRESSION"

No game is holding my attention like they used to. I think the reason I played WoW for so long was not the game, but the people I played with. The game was new and we built up a nice core of people. You log on and there would be 10 people to group with just about everytime you logged in. Without the interaction, WoW got boring.

Most of the changes are nice and everything is pretty balanced, just remember that it took WoW a while to get to where it is. Which is why I think most games aren't getting as much attention as they should because everyone compares it to the WoW that is now and it isn't really fair. Alot of the content that gets added is really just more of the same. I have Aion installed at the moment.

And re-learning how to play a class that I knew how to play at one point is another good reason for me to not play anymore haha.

The people is definantly what made me want to log in day after day on WoW. Just hop on vent and just shoot the bull until raid time while mindlessly doing whatever you needed to do before raid. (Gotta love the australians on vent)

When you've been gone for several months it seems nearly impossible to pick up one of your old characters and go about it like you've never stopped, for me atleast. So basicly to come back and have any idea of what you're doing you have to start from square one....or level one. Or 56 for DK.

....everytime I see DK I always think they mean Donkey Kong...

But I am also having touble staying with a game...halo is fun, but gets repetitive. I picked up Ninety-Nine Nights last night, but I've already nearly beaten it. =(

I'd still strongly recommend at least renting Borderlands. I have a feeling you'll either love it or hate it - it's got a talent system like WoW, but plays like an FPS. The only real downside to the talent stuff is that it's not nearly as involved as other MMOs - it's mainly passive stat boosts. It's got a bitchin' amount of replay to it, though, and a hot chick to boot!

btw I still need to play Halo 3 with you guys. It's been awhile since I've bothered playing it :o

Dragon Age is interesting and has 80+ hours of play time. I replied a bit late to your message johnny but like I said, it reminds me of the Star Wars game. I think the same people who made Baldur's Gate are behind it. The only problem is no online play, but they already have content for it on XBL. It has 3 classes- Rogue, Warrior, Mage and then 4 spec classes for each.

Borderlands is pretty fun, gets kind of old single player though. What is the replay value to it though, kite? Does the story change or do you just start back over from the beginning with more difficulty?

The story remains the same, it's just more difficult. The loot is a lot better, too, but it doesn't have very much replay value as far as the story goes. It's still pretty entertaining; it's basically an FPS Diablo. Kill shit, get loot, repeat.

I also downloaded the free trial of Warhammer again on my new computer...they apparently have it so you can play the trial for as long as you want, but you can only reach level 10! That's enough for me for right now, but playing a Chosen is dumb because I do shit damage.

Hahaha ugly ass undead female mage ftw.../wrist. I would be interested in WoW if there was either a reroll guild, BC guild, or vanilla guild to play with.

I played it with you before...remember? I just thought I'd redownload it to see if it runs any better on my new computer (not really).

@Johnny: There are a couple around - if you poke around the forums, you should be able to find a couple. The only one I've really noticed on Twisting Nether is <Bring It Back To BC> though.
